CONNER, Apayao – A 24-year old farmer died after he was stabbed dead by his own father-in-law when he was creating trouble in their residence at Allangigan, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Levino Carag Daguio, 24, married, farmer while the suspect was named as his father-in-law, Emiliano Batalliones Mabborang, 75, widower, farmer and both residents of Allangigan, Conner, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed the victim went to the house of his father-in-law armed with a bolo and was allegedly inviting trouble.
He was able to enter the house and attempted to hack his father but the latter was able to grab a spear and stab the victim on his belly.
Concerned residents tried to rush the victim to a local hospital but he attempted to harm those going near him until he was found lifeless several hours after the incident.
The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the responding police authorities and is awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
