TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 77-year old farmer was hurt after he was struck with a hard object by a 41-year old farmer inside the compound of his residence at Dagupan West here Friday morning.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Antonio Tenedero Sarol, 77, married, farmer and a resident of Bonifacio Street, Dagupan West, Tabuk City, Kalinga while he named the suspect as Eduardo Balageo Sumedca alyas “Little he“, 41, married.
Initial police investigation showed the suspect was walking along the road when he saw the victim inside the compound of his residence and for still unknown reasons, he suddenly entered the said compound and smashed a hard object on the victim’s face causing him to fall on the ground.
The victim was rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was subsequently arrested by combined police operatives during a follow-up operation and is now ready to face the appropriate charges to be filed against him.
