BAKUN, Benguet May 11 – A 38-year old farmer died after he was struck by lighting while he was attending to his garden at Mount Am-o, Sipitan, here, Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Michael Dagwase Pusayen, 33, married, farmer, and a resident of Sipitan, Bakun, Benguet was found by his relatives lying lifeless at his garden at Mt. Am-o, Sipitan, Bakun, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim wend to attend to his garden in the early morning of Tuesday but never went home that prompted his family members to be worried and subsequently requested assistance to locate his whereabouts.
On May 9, 2018, the lifeless body of the victim was discovered by his relatives and concerned citizens beside a pine tree near his garden with indications that the tree and the victim were struck by lighting.
Health authorities confirmed that the victim died due to the strike of lightning because of obvious indications of injuries on his body.
