BAGUIO CITY – A 48-year old reflexologist, died after he was repeatedly stabbed by his own step son inside their residence at Purok 10, Dontogan, here Sunday night.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the fatality as Reynaldo Dayday Forto, 48, single, reflexologist, a native of Laguna while he named the suspect as his own step son, Bonjovi Ruiz Jovellano, 22, single, massage therapist, native of Pasay City, both residents of Purok 10, Dontogan, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his live-in partner had a heater altercation inside their residence when the suspect tried to interfere and pacify them.
At this juncture, the victim got irked and went to their kitchen, grabbed a knife, went back to where the suspect was positioned and tried to stab him but the latter was able to elude the deadly weapon and subsequently grabbed the knife from his father and stabbed him several times on the different parts of his body.
The victim was immediately rushed by family members to the Baguio General Hospital and MEDICAL Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but he expired several hours later due to six fatal stab wounds on the different parts of his body.
The suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by police operatives for him to answer for the crime he committed.
