Mark N’ Kins corral Young Guns, Bags Liga Buguias Crown

La Trinidad, Benguet – Top seeded Mark N’ Kins corralled second seed Young Guns, 82-76, last November 20 at the San Jose Gym, here, to capture the La Liga Buguias championship.

Mark N’ Kins and the Young Guns topped the eliminations of the fourth edition of the league with their identical 9-2 win-loss records but the Kins got higher seeding due to the win over the other rule.

They both had little trouble disposing of their quarterfinal opponents. While the Young Guns had an easier time disposing off the Giants in the semis, 64-50, Mark N’ Kins had to sweat out a hard earned 85-82 victory over Timpuyog.

In the battle for third, Timpuyog salvaged the bronze by outlasting the Giants, 98-92, also last Sunday.

Meanwhile, Lloyd P. Wadasen bagged the Finals MVP. Philip Apaan was adjudged as the best three point shooter while Guideon Potpotan was the best free throw shooter in the side events.

The next season of the league is expected to open today at the San Jose Gym.
