BAGUIO CITY – The Finance Section of the Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office Cordillera (DARFO-CAR) convened its first quarter meeting on May 20, 2025, at the New Conference Hall, Baguio City.
The meeting aims to align all personnel with the systems, procedures, and processes governing financial accounting and budget management relative to existing and newly issued government rules and regulations, set up the agency’s standard through Individual Performance Commitment and Reviews (IPCRs) review, monitoring and reporting accomplishments.
In line with this, the meeting highlights to address concerns on delayed vouchers (DVs) and establish measures to resolve such issues.
During the brainstorming session, Mangal-ip emphasized the need for collaborative efforts, stating, “Magtulungan tayo kasi kulang tayo sa tao” (Let us help one another because we lack manpower). This sentiment underscores the importance of teamwork in addressing the challenges faced by the finance section.
Additionally, Godffrey Padawil from the Accounting Section reiterated the importance of processing DVs on time. He highlighted the necessity of verifying dates and other details on the DVs, as well as ensuring the proper certification of all submitted documents since these steps are essential to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the financial processes.
The meeting concluded with an afternoon workshop focused on the preparation of IPCRs. This session aimed to enhance individual accountability and performance within the finance section, aligning personal goals with organizational objectives. By MCBangao
