City officials recently commended Senior officer (SFO) 1 Aldrin K. Bay-end, FO3 Rafael Antonio D. Gardose, FO2 Jeroll E. Benedicto, FO1 Jofrey B. Acop and Fo1 Gemory K. Dao-ines of the Baguio City fire Station for demonstrating remarkable bravery and honesty.
Under Resolution No. 304, series of 2024, local legislators stated that the extraordinary performance during life-threatening situations and the honesty of the Baguio City Fire Station personnel has shown not only their bravery but have likewise preserved the morale of the work force which deserves the praise and acclamation by the entire officialdom of the local government and constituency of the city.
On April 13, 2024, while the Baguio City Fire Station team was engaged in a firefighting operation at MR Queen of Peace barangay, five firefighters demonstrated remarkable dedication to their duty despite challenging conditions.
Bay-end and Acop found a plastic container of pet turtles, paper bills and coins, and a cellular phone; Gardose stumbled upon a wallet container paper bills amounting to PhP10,000; Benedicto was able to rescue a tied dog that sustained minor burns on its fur and Dao-ines came upon a stash of loose coins.
The council stipulated that the recovered items were subsequently turned over to the rightful owners after the declaration of the fire under control by the personnel of the Baguio city fire Station.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the concerned fire officers and the Baguio City Fire Station for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
