TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The provincial government, through Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Grace Kidang-Flores, held a meeting on September 4, 2024, to discuss and plan the upcoming Hero’s Welcome and Awarding of Recognition and Cash Incentive to Hergie Bacyadan on Monday, September 9.
Bacyadan, a native of Tanudan, competed in the women’s Olympic boxing in the 75kg division at the Paris 2024 Olympics, becoming the first Ykalinga Olympian.
As discussed in the meeting, a motorcade and a formal welcome program will be held at the Kalinga Astrodome headed by Gov. James Edduba.
The Ykalinga boxer, said Flores, is also set to receive a plaque of recognition and a cash incentive of PhP500,000.
Present at the discussion were various provincial heads, city representative Aurora Amilig, Tanudan IPMR Grace Dagadag, DENR-Kalinga representative, members of Tabuk Philippine National Police, KPPO, representatives from McDonald’s, Department of Education, and St. Tonis, as well as media personalities.
