CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Combined police operatives and anti-narcotices agents successfully arrested 5 drug suspects during their intensified anti-illegal drug operations during the first week of December.
Highlighting its significant accomplishment was the arrest of an incumbent Barangay Kagawad, identified as Antonio N. Wayet 31, in his resident in Brgy Casigayan, Tabuk City, Kalinga in the night of December 1, 2015. Seized from his possession was a white crystalline substance residue suspected to be Shabu with a total weight of .165 grams with a Dangerous Drug Board Value of P 1,320.00.
Another was the arrest of two individuals who were caught by a security guard at the main gate of the Baguio City National High School in the morning of December 3, 2015 for possession of alleged marijuana leaves and marijuana seeds. The suspects were identified as Wilson Amparado Dela Peña, 20, a resident of Upper Rock Quarry, Baguio City and a 15-year-old male grade 10 student of the Baguio City National High School (BCNHS).
Moreover, two wanted persons charged for the same offense were both arrested on December 2, 2015 identified as Cris Marc Almazan Blanes, 26, a resident of barangay Calaba South, Bangued, Abra who was arrested at the Hall of Justice, Bangued, Abra by the operatives of Abra Shield composed of the Regional and Provincial Intelligence personnel, Regional and Provincial Public Safety personnel, Regional Intelligence Unit-14 and San Quintin municipal police station. Whereas, the Tracker Team of Itogon MPS served the warrant of arrest of Miko Daones Bona alias Greinger Tayang Bona, 23, native of Kapangan, Benguet and a resident of Bayabas, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet was nabbed inside the Baguio City Jail, Baguio City. Judges Raphiel F. Alzate, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 1, Bangued, Abra and Judge Danilo P. Camacho, RTC Branch 10, La Trinidad, Benguet both recommended P200,000.00 each for their temporary release.
All arrested suspects were locked up in jail for a case of violation of Republic Act of 9165 or known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the minor is now under the custody of the MSWD.
