FLORA, Apayao — The municipal government of Flora has been honored with its 1st Philippine Association of Local Government Accountants (PhALGA) Excellence Award.
This prestigious recognition was bestowed upon the municipality for achieving an Unmodified Commission on Audit (COA) Opinion on the 2022 Financial Statements, signifying excellence in government accounting.
Presented during the 19th Annual National Conference by PhALGA held at the CAP–John Hay Cultural Trade and Center in Baguio City on May 15, 2024, this award highlights the dedication of the municipal government to upholding the highest standards of financial transparency and accountability.
Municipal Accountant Mrs. Benalyn De Jesus-Pascua accepted the award on behalf of the municipal government This feat was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Accounting Office, whose dedication and expertise have been instrumental in ensuring the municipality’s financial integrity.
Achieving the “unmodified opinion,” the highest audit rating from the COA, indicates that the municipal government’s financial statements comply with the relevant and competent financial reporting framework. By Michelle Acantilado
