The former City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) was among the latest batch of police officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) who were appointed to the position of Brigadier General or given their Star rank in the hierarchy of leadership.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. approved the appointment of Police Brig. Gen. Ramil Ladyong Saculles, who was the former BCPO City Director, on December 7, 2022.
Prior to entering the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) where he graduated as a member of Class 1993, Saculles took the course Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mining Engineering at the St. Louis University (SLU). He was also able to complete his Master In Public Administration at the Baguio Central University (BCU).
At present, he is the Secretary to the Directorial Staff after serving as the deputy regional director for operations of the Police Regional Office (PRO) based in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
Saculles also served in the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management as chief case monitoring division and chief of the School for Investigation and Detective division.
Further, he also served under the Police Community Relations Group as chief of the operations and management division aside from serving as the administrative officer of the Directorate for Research and Development.
In the regional level, Saculles served as the chief of the regional staff of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera apart from serving as the chief of the regional operations division and commanding officer of the 3rd regional mobile force company, 2nd RMFC and occupied various positions in the regional mobile force battalion.
The police official also served as the deputy provincial director for operations of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, deputy provincial director for administration of the Abra and Mountain Province police offices before serving as officer-in-charge of the Ifugao Provincial Police Office among other related positions as a junior officer.
Among his specialized training include International Management for Serious Crime I, Law Enforcement concern and Studies I at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Provincial/City Official Directors Qualification course, Online Community Affairs Development Course, Logistics Management Course and Police Intelligence officer Course.
Saculles was also a recipient of various awards for his invaluable support to the PNP. He is a twice recipient of the prestigious Gawad Karangalan by the national Police training Institute, Lingkod Bayan awardee by the Civil Service Commission and a national awardee for Police Community Relations.
One of his notable accomplishments as BCPO City Director is that he was able to set the tone for the declaration of Baguio City as one of the Safest Cities in Southeast Asia.
Saculles expressed his gratitude to all those who supported his career as a police officer until his appointment as Brig. Gen., saying that this was a product of hard work, perseverance, dedication and passion to do what is right while holding various positions in the hierarchy of leadership.
