The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) is grateful to former Philippine National Police (PNP) officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao, Jr. for recognizing the implementation of police visibility in the city which should be emulated by all police units in the different parts of the country to deter the occurrence of crimes that imperil public safety.
BCPO City Director Police Col. Glen Lonogan reported that another significant accomplishment of the city police force is that it is the first city police office to apply and successfully pass the last stage of the Performance Government System (PGS) which is currently being institutionalized in all government agencies, and the BCPO is only awaiting the conferment of the same by the PNP national headquarters.
The PGS is a holistic and collaborative framework for designing and executing road maps to the long-term reforms in different government agencies to raise the standards of governance to the satisfaction of the general public.
Further, he added that the BCPO city mobile force company is included in the top 3 Best City Mobile Force Company in the national level.
He claimed that a team from the national headquarters was in the city last week to validate the BCPO City Mobile Force Company’ s achievements if it can bag the award as the best in the country.
The BCPO official pointed out that sharing these accomplishments is not to brag about what the local police force had done but to share to the people the outcome or impact of their trust and confidence to the officers and members of the Baguio’s finest.
He emphasized that the support of the people to the local police force is reflected in the high performance of the police personnel. He said that it is the people who made them perform well and with that, the public must continue working with the BCPO for the sustained law and order in the city.
