Four drug suspects were nabbed and Php 850,000 worth of marijuana bricks were seized from them in the afternoon of July 23, 2018.
Police authorities identified the suspects as Edward Francis Cea y Cham, 26, freelance graphic artist and resident of Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Jericho Perez, 22, businessman and resident of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City; Christine de Guzman y Rodriguez, 29, call center agent, and resident of Calamba, Laguna; and Carla Amor Ong y Sarmiento, 30, former HR officer in a hospital in Calamba, Laguna, and resident of San Pedro, Laguna.
Joint personnel of Bontoc MPS, CIDG Mt. Province and members of the PDEA proceeded, through tipped information, to the Cable Cafe located at Poblacion, Bontoc Mt. Province and arrested the suspects and confiscated bags containing twenty-four (24) bricks of marijuana wrapped with transparent cling and four tubular marijuana stalks wrapped with transparent cling with a total weight of approximately 26 Kilograms and have a dangerous drug board value of Php850,000.00.
Investigation disclosed that suspects came from Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
The inventory of the seized items was witnessed Punong Barangay Glenn Saavedra of Poblacion, Bontoc, Mountain Province, media representative Ferdinand C. Castaňeda, and Prosecutor Golda C. Bagawi.
The suspects, together with the seized items, were transported to the Crime Laboratory at Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet for examination.
The appropriate case against them are being prepared to be filed in court.
