LUNA, Apayao – During the celebration of the 29th Corporate Existence of the Provincial Government of Apayao, Provincial Agriculturist Prudencio Bosing reminds the younger generation of the difficulties many of their predecessors went through to push for the progress of Apayao.
In his talk at the Apayao Eco Tourism and Sport Complex (AETSC) Grandstand in San Gregorio, this August 5, 2024, Bosing delivered his reflection of the past.
While recounting some stories of the hard work of the forefathers, especially the founding father of Apayao, Elias K. Bulut Sr., he underscored that “Our beloved young province which the present generation now enjoy was never handed through a silver platter.” Adding that the greatest sacrifices of those who endured its birth pains may be fading into history, but not the tenets upon which Apayao was founded and created.
Bosing likewise reminded the employees of the provincial government that the business of government is to provide honest public service and should not be otherwise.
“This has been illustrated and demonstrated in the humble beginnings of our province by those who chose selfless service over self-aggrandizement,” he said.
The provincial agriculturist, who is nearing his retirement, advised the workers that as the province moves forward, it is their turn to serve Apayao, leaving no one behind.
“Be always purposeful and directive in our pursuit of more meaningful and inclusive growth for our beloved province and people, led by the time-honored song of founder and leader the late EKB, “If we hold on together, our dreams will never die” he concluded. By Michelle Acantilado
