BAGUIO CITY – Every year, hundreds and thousands of runners in the city and nearby town awaits and looks forward for the launching of the Milo events specifically the Milo Marathon known as MILO FUN RUN. A healthy activity mostly done in the month of July.
It is a vigorous yet very stimulating activity which is open for individual, groups, peers, family or institution.
Baguio Central School is among the schools in the City that supports and actively participates in the advocacy and projects of the Company among which fosters good health and proper fitness, scout and develops young athletes to be the future caliber county’s representatives in the field of sports and help support underprivileged children by providing them shoes or school supplies.
The institution believes that in joining such activity healthy camaraderie, sportsmanship, honesty, good fitness and cooperation of pupils, teacher and parents as one family are developed and built.
A reason that BCS yearly dominates and receives the award of the most number of participants in the elementary level.
Unfortunately, the approximately hundred Baguio Central School Milo Fun Run registered enthusiast were so frustrated and upset as the Milo Fun Run set last July 5, 2015 pushed through in spite of the typhoon signal and the pouring of heavy rain that could have implied or suggested the organizers to postpone the activity and reschedule for some other day.
The policy “Rain or Shine Run” which was stated in the registration form is non-breakable even if obviously it posed danger or could sacrifice the health and wellness of the runners or participants.
Participants kept in silence their frustrations to run but couldn’t help to ventilate their question: Is the Rain or Shine Policy the same as Typhoon or Shine Policy?
