Baguio City, Philippines, – Students and teachers of the 30 highest-need public high schools in Ilocos and Cordillera Regions recently started driving awareness and fuel ups to raise funds for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) projects in a fuel up-to-donate program called Caltex Fuel Your School.
Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), and branded marketer Northern Star Energy Corp., will donate one (1) peso for every liter of fuel purchase in Caltex stations in La Union, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Mountain Province and the Caltex station in Baguio upper session road starting from June 1 to July 31, 2018.
“Being a major project partner gives us the opportunity to show how we value education. We are leveraging our 26 retail Caltex station in Ilocos and Cordilleras where motorists can fuel up and support our chosen 30 public high schools. Now we can say, we fuel up for a better cause.” said Juan Miguel T. Delgado, chief operating officer of Northern Star.
Northern Star also granted a total of P1.5 million for the project.
Caltex Fuel Your School aims to raise P3 million which will be used to purchase modern learning technology and equipment to provide 21st century learning experience to the chosen 30 public high school access.

Caltex Fuel Your School provides modern learning tools to encourage high school students to take up STEM careers.
