BUCAY, Abra February 07 – A 19-year old gasoline boy was injured while his minor brother was unhurt after they were allegedly fired upon by an assailant in a waiting shed at Calao, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the injured individual as Ariel John Artienda Collado, 19, single, gasoline boy of Shell Zone 7, Bangued, Abra while the arrested suspect was named as Clarito Biscarra Trinidad, 40, married, carpenter and a resident of Sitio Piglas Barangay San Isidro, Lagangilang, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his brother came from barangay Calao on board their motorcycle and decided to take a rest in a nearby waiting shed.
The suspect then inquired from them where did they come from and for still unknown reasons, he fired at them using a still undetermined type of firearm hitting the victim on his head while his minor brother was unhurt during the incident.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was later transferred to Vigan City, Ilocos Sur for further conduct of medical procedures on his wound on the head while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives during a follow-up operation in his residence upon the positive identification of the victim’s minor brother.
However, the firearm used in the incident was not recovered from the suspect’s possession.
