BAGUIO CITY – Globe Telecom’s significant growth in its broadband continues to rely on its GFiber that continues to gain traction as the fastest growing pre-paid fiber brand in the country.
GFiber pre-paid registered an impressive 74 percent increase in its subscribers that reached 260,000 in the fourth quarter compared to the reported subscribers in the third quarter.
Globe’s strong momentum in the fourth quarter highlights the rising demand for flexible and affordable pre-paid fiber services among Filipinos and reinforced Globe’s strategy to expand reliable connectivity to more households in the future.
At the same time, customer engagement and loyalty remain a strong driver of GFiber prepaid’s growth with reload rates reaching a whooping 78 percent, the highest among pre-paid brands in the country.
Further, GFiber pre-paid also reported a net promoter score (NPs) of 68 which is much higher than regional benchmarks, reflecting customer satisfaction and the positive experience it delivers.
GFiber prepaid was also instrumental in improving the performance of Globe’s broadband business through the years as it experienced a breakthrough in the fourth quarter of last year that marked the first time in over three years that brought in the fiber segment that outplayed the decline in legacy broadband services.
Globe recently reported that broadband revenues increased by 2 percent and subscriber accounts expanded by t3 percent compared to the third quarter of last year that showcased Globe’s strategic transition to fiber and the sustained demand for appropriate pre-paid broadband solutions.
On the other hand, fiber service revenue also increased by 2 percent and subscriber figures rose by 16 percent in the same period where the widespread adoption of GFiber prepaid played a vital role in the said progress driving a 13 percent year-on-year increased in fixed out-wired subscribers.
“Competition is indeed tight in the broadband space. But our results have demonstrated that, with the right offers and a service experience that truly delights our customers, there is still potential for growth in fiber broadband, particularly in GFiber Prepaid, as evidenced by our fourth-quarter performance,” said Abigail Cardino, Vice President for Globe Broadband Business.
GFiber Prepaid has been reshaping the way consumers experience high-speed internet by offering reloadable UNLI fiber options for 7 days, 15 days, 30 days or one year, with no lock-up period, and can be installed in as fast as 24 hours.
With its affordability, reliability, and flexibility, GFiber Prepaid is providing Filipinos with greater access to fast and reliable fiber internet, contributing to a more connected society.
