ITOGON , Benget – A 42-year old gold buyer was hurt after he was shot by still unidentified gunmen who barged inside his residence at First Gae, Ucab, here, Saturday.
Chief Inspector Eugene Raymundo, chief of the Itogon Municipal Police Station, identified the victim as Noel Pakiwon Banoey, 42, married, Gold Buyer and a resident of First Gate, Ucab, Itogon, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed some of the victim’s neighbours heard a gunshot emanating from his residence and after a few moments, they allegedly saw him crawling outside with blood oozing from his head that prompted them to flag down a van and rushed him to the St. Louis University Sacred Heart Hospital for medical treatment.
Responding police operatives recovered from the crime scene a calibre .9mm pistol with a magazine loaded with 13 live ammunitions and a spent shell of a calibre .45 pistol which was probably used by the still unidentified gunman in the perpetration of the crime.
Further, probers did not find any forcible entry inside the victim’s residence and no one could ascertain if there are missing items inside his house.
