City officials recently congratulated and commended Hussein P. Lorana for winning in the men’s 800-meter Hong Kong athletics championships in Tseung Kwan O Sports ground, Hong Kong.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that Lorana’s remarkable performance made the athletic community proud and brought pride to the city worthy of commendation and recognition from the local government.
Lorana, a Philippine record holder, snared the gold medal and rose to the top of the Southeast Asian ranking 2024 by winning in the 800-meter run in the Hong Kong athletics championships.
He clocked 1 minute and 52.11 seconds to secure the gold and bested six other competitors in the men’s 800-meter run that was part of the aforesaid prestigious athletic competition.
The council added that his excellent performance, dedication and persistence truly serves as an inspiration to other athletes, especially the youth to dream high and achieve their life goals.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Lorana for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. see
