LUNA, Apayao – Significant infrastructure development is underway in Apayao, as plans are in motion to connect Pudtol and Flora through the construction of two new bridges.
Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. announced this initiative in Aurora, Pudtol on May 9 during the inauguration of Balay Pagdadarnan in Aurora Elementary School.
These projects aim to enhance connectivity and accessibility, for easier transportation of goods and services and improving mobility for residents, thereby promoting economic activities between the two towns.
The first bridge will span from Dacao in Lower Atok, Flora, to Upper Maton in Pudtol, while a second bridge will link Upper Atok, Flora, to Aurora, Pudtol. These bridges are expected to streamline travel between the two areas.
In his message, Gov. Bulut reiterated his vision for Apayao, emphasizing his commitment to improving road networks in the province. “Inkarik iti bagik nga aramidek tu amin nga kalsada nu mapagasatanak nga Congressman. That was my promise before, now we have it,” highlighting the fulfillment of his pledge to improve road networks in the province.
“I have already secured the funding for these bridges, but there is still a long way to go, and we must trust the process. Bassit langen, mapagkonekta tayon iti Pudtol ken Flora,” Bulut added.
He further emphasized the ongoing development efforts in Apayao, “These are just reminders. Adu pay iti mayat nga maaramid ditoy Apayao, nangnangruna kadagitoy sulsulinek nga lugar,” indicating the continuous focus on creating positive changes and developments for the benefit of the local communities especially in remote areas.
The construction of these bridges is a huge step forward in the province’s infrastructure development, promising increased connectivity and opportunities for growth. By JCM
