LUNA, Apayao – Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. sat down with the General Services Office (GSO) at the Clubhouse, Apayao Eco-Tourism and Sports Complex (AETSC) on March 10, for the planning session intended to address operational concerns, reviewing accomplishments, and setting the course for 2025.
The discussion put a focus on policy execution, an area where the governor stressed the need for greater commitment. “Ang dami na nating nagagawang magaganda, yung implementation lang talaga. You have a good direction in your office; just implement the policy. We adjust to the policies to 3 years, para fully implemented ang gusto natin sa ating offices. Adu pay ti aramiden tayo in the future. Every move you make must be policy-guided,” he told the Department and emphasized that well-crafted plans mean little if not properly carried out.
GSO Supervising Administrative Officer Shiela Thelma Dacumos presented the GSO’s accomplishments and updated mission-vision, aligning with the governor’s 10-point agenda. The session also tackled persistent issues in administrative support and transport services such as gaps in motor vehicle management policy compliance, funding constraints for preventive maintenance services, and challenges in maintaining government vehicles for car washing, minor repairs, and regular check-ups.
Heads of various departments of the provincial government also joined the meeting, weighing in on issues that cut across departments. Other offices are set to undergo similar consultations to align their operations with the province’s long-term plans.
With policies already in place and a clear direction outlined, the governor left a firm reminder, “Execution is key, and every move must be anchored in strategy, discipline, and commitment.” By Diocen Duldulao
