LUNA, Apayao – Governor Elias C. Bulut conducted a coordination meeting with the Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO) at the Apayao Eco Tourism and Sports Complex (AETSC) Clubhouse in Luna, Apayao, aimed at discussing issues, reviewing accomplishments, and outlining plans for 2025.
During the meeting, Gov. Bulut emphasized the importance of orienting new employees about programs of the provincial government and the need to align all new policies and programs with existing ordinances and regulations to ensure legal compliance and avoid potential conflicts.
Loyd Rio Karl Sion, Officer-in-Charge of the PHRMO, presented their accomplishments.
He outlined several in-house and out-of-town training initiatives for different agencies, such as workshops on road and bridge surveying, technical writing and speaking, customer service, and mental health awareness and others. Sion also introduced the use of Google Sheets for travel orders and leaves for administrative officers to reduce paperwork.
The office also identified challenges, such as late leave filings, limited workspace, and inadequate equipment such as filing cabinets.
According to Sion, awards and recognition will be given to exemplary employees, such as Loyalty Awards, On-the-Spot awards, Service Awards, the Salamat Mabuhay Program for Retirees, and Best Employee Awards for first and second-level positions.
The governor then reiterated the importance of aligning all initiatives with existing ordinances and selecting the most qualified candidates to fill vacancies, emphasizing the need for optimal performance and departmental excellence.
He likewise advised the PHRMO to conduct meetings with every office to explain the new systems and provide a complete manual for their reference.
Meanwhile, similar coordination meetings will be held for other offices within the provincial government to make sure that their concerns are heard and addressed. By Loremia Pareja
