BONTOC, Mountain Province – The provincial government led by Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., represented by Executive Assistant Winston V. Calde, conducted a 2-day Shoot for a Cause at Faniyas, Samoki, Bontoc, Mountain Province from February 11 to 12, 2023.
The ceremony was initiated by the owner of the Torogi Shooting Range, Davis Lafasni.
The registration fee for the law enforcers was 700 pesos per participant, and for the civilians, P800 per participant, with 5 stages for a minimum of 120 rounds.
According to Board Member Joshua B. Fronda, the purpose of this “Shoot for a Cause” is to give financial help to individuals who have illnesses and to also promote Bontoc as a tourist spot in the province, while Calde delivered the message of Gov. Lacwasan.
“Thank you to all the participants from the different localities who joined us today. Daytoy nga shoot for a cause ket para iti kakadwa tayo nga ada sakit na tapnu makatulong tayo kanyada.” he said
He added that the participants, not only the owners, should be responsible with their guns, and their shooting skills must be applied only in the right circumstances.
The participants were from the different localities, Kalinga City, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao and different municipalities of Mountain Province. By MP Press Release
