SADANGA, Mountain Province May 06 – A 34-year old truck helper died after he fell from the vehicle where he was on board at Makotiti, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Cornelio Comila, officer-in-charge of the Mountain Province Provincial Police Office, identified the fatality as Mario Bandao Agelba Jr., 34 y/o, single, truck and business helper and a resident of Sitio Depas, Mabaay, Bauko, Mountain Province.
Initial police investigation showed that while a pick-up truck driven by John Cosili Lang-udan, 53- a resident of Tapapa, Bauko, Mountain Province was traversing the Enrile road when his helper proceeded on top of the vehicle to smoke.
Because of the speed of the vehicle, the victim allegedly fell off the vehicle causing his head and body to bang on the concrete pavement thereby inflicting multiple injuries on him.
He was rushed to the Bontoc General Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on the spot by attending physicians due to multiple head and body injuries.
The case will still be subjected to further investigation by concerned police operatives.
