The municipality of Hungduan extended its gratitude to the Bontoc Local Government Unit (LGU) in the conduct of the Search, Rescue, and Retrieval (SRR) Operation during the vehicular accident involving constituents of Hungduan, Ifugao on January 14, 2020, at Barangay Talubin, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
It can be recalled that Earole Kurt Akiate and Franklin Angawa died while three others were injured when the ambulance they were riding fell off a deep ravine along Sitio Ba-ey, Doddo, Talubin.
The Certificate of Appreciation signed by Hungduan Municipal Mayor Casan P. Dumulag and Vice Mayor Lucas A. Bugatti, said that the people and officialdom of Hungduan, Ifugao is forever grateful for the immeasurable and selfless action of the Bontoc LGU employees.
A separate Certificate of Appreciation was also given to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the Bontoc Municipal Police Station, and the Bontoc Municipal Fire Station.
Vice Mayor Bugatti together with the other representatives from Hungduan LGU handed over the Certificates of Appreciation on January 27, 2020, at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol.
