BAGUIO CITY – A 67-year old man died after her 61-year old wife hit his head with a frying pan during the height of their heated altercation regarding household chores at Lower Pinget here around 6:45 am Monday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office- identified the victim as Cyril Sawilan Capis, 67, married while he named the suspect as his own wife, Caridad Dampag Capis, 61, married, both residents of Lower Pinget, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect just woke up when they had a misunderstanding because of their household chores.
At the height of the argument, the victim reportedly punched the suspect on her jaw but she retaliated by grabbing a frying pan within her reach and hit on his head.
The victim proceeded to their kitchen but he suddenly collapsed prompting the suspect to seek assistance for him to be rushed to the Pines City Doctors Hospital.
However, he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while the suspect voluntarily surrendered to responding police operatives.
The suspect stands to face charges of parricide against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
