LUNA, Apayao – Board Member Kyle Mariah Chelsea Bulut-Cunan expressed her reverence to the leaders of the past who made possible the existence of Apayao and its birth as a province, underscoring the sacrifices and hard work that were paid for.
During the 29th year celebration of Apayao’s Corporate Existence this August 5, the board member gave her reflections loaded with gratitude and reminders, especially to the younger generation, as she spoke of the collective achievements of Apayao.
Bulut-Cunan likewise articulated how she wished to have been born during those difficult times and how nostalgic it is for her to listen to stories of old.
“I wish I saw personally the sacrifices that were made to get where we are now. The sacrifices and the hard work of our then leaders, most especially Lolo EKB. Nakitak ti kina kinatured na nga by filing RA 7878, even though a lot questioned him,” BM Kyle said.
With this, the board member, in front of over 600 employees, mentioned that Apayao reached this 29th year due to collective achievements.
“Nandito tayo na punong puno ang ating mga puso ng full pride for Apayao and gratitude to celebrate the 29th anniversary of our province’s corporate existence as an independent province. It is another milestone that manifests our collective achievements,” Kyle underlined.
The board member added that she is grateful “sa lahat ng empleyado ng provincial government ng Apayao na nakatulong para sa mga micro progress and development ng ating lugar,” and that “maliit man o malaki ang nagawa niyo, thank you pa rin. Ang maliit pag naipon, malaki.”
The board member enders her message by encouraging the employees to overcome “the challenges that lie ahead and continue to build a province that we can all be proud of and may we all continue to work hand in hand for the enduring prosperity of Apayao.” By Michelle Acantilado
