LUNA, Apayao – The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Apayao chapter on Thursday, welcomed 8 yApayao new passers of the bar, joining the team as full-fledged lawyers ready to defend people’s rights, especially those who need them the most.
The new lawyers are Atty. Ma. Victoria G. Balbin, Atty. Miller Paulo D. Bilag, Atty. Rina Valerie A. Cafirma, Atty. Apolinario B. Eboy Jr., Atty. Lean-Klair Jan B. Gamatero, Atty. Nora Jane B. Pascua,Atty.Vernon S. Talattag, and Atty. Mark Anthony C. Tungpalan, who are all products of Apayao.
Relative to this event was a testimonial dinner held at the Aliwa gymnasium organized by the IBP officers led by Apayao President Atty. Zaide E. Ravelo, to provide the new lawyers time to narrate their own stories of how their perseverance at law school led them to succeed.
Each, except the three who did not attend for some important reasons, had the opportunity to share what they went through, giving encouragement to those who are currently taking law studies and the aspiring ones.
Meantime, the new lawyer-members received powerful reminders from the esteemed 2008 BAR topnotcher, Atty. Judy A. Lardizabal, inspiring them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in their legal practice, whatever their service demands.
These lawyers, moreover, were advised by Lardizabal as she recounted the challenges and milestones she had overcome, saying that they too, despite the pivotal moments of struggle in their career, should strive to serve with honor. In her statements, she emphasized that the law profession is a calling, commitment, and a catalyst of change.
