SANTA MARCELA, Apayao – Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez on Wednesday emphasized the importance of accountability of the Santa Marcela Weavers’ Association and that they should take good care of the completed two-storey Livelihood Multi-purpose Building in Barangay Marcela, as the direct beneficiaries of the facility.

In her speech, Martinez informed the facility was established as a training center for weavers to boost their income and advance their skills in the production of innovative and stunning designs. That is through the hard work of Congresswoman Leah Bulut-Begtang that such was made a reality.
Mayor Martinez also gave her thanks to Bulut-Begtang’s sincerity and efforts in helping the people of Santa Marcela, relating that the building’s inception was an outcome of the representative’s pledge to support Santa Marcela’s weaving industry.
“Agyaman tayo kenni Congresswoman Bulut-Begtang ta manipud pay idi Mayor agingga nagbalin nga Lone District Representative, nagtultuloy latta iti napudno nga serbisyo na kangrunaan iti ili tayu, ta marikna tayu iti bara ti pammateg na babaen kadagiti programa ti opisina na,” Mayor Martinez stressed.
