Ilocos Sur – Simultaneous sting operations by combined forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1) and PDEA Cordillera Administrative Region and supported by the local police in Santa Lucia Ilocos Sur and Bangued Abra hooked a Drug Group Member and a local pusher on November 9, 2017.
PDEA RO1 Regional Director BRYAN B. BABANG identified the suspect as Carlos Ganigan also known as Carlos Gadingan and a member of the Dela Rosa-Toquero Drug Group operating and supplying crystal meth in several areas of Ilcoso Sur. The carefully planned negation operation yielded sachets of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride locally known as shabu, the cellular phone recording the transaction and the buy bust money.
Erstwhile, in Bangued Abra 35 years old RAYMUND G. LAGUNDINO, fell in the hands of law enforcers as he openly sold one plastic sachet of crystal meth street valued at 1,500.00 pesos. The cellphone technician is temporarily detained at PDEA Abra Provincial Office.
Both suspects have been charged with section 5, “Selling of Illegal Drugs” of the comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
