TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The International School of Asia and the Pacific-Kalinga (ISAP-K) once again delivered an impressive board exam performance as it obtains 100% passing rate, producing 11 new midwives in the recently concluded November 2024 Licensure Examination for Midwifery.
Successful board passers are Lenita Anudon, Razen Bacawen, Shelly- Anne Bahalay, Caryll Jane Bede, Christin Campi, May-an, Diawwan, Nessy Lingayo, Catherine Mallagan, Angelica Sumongbat, Richilyn Sugao, Janella Tillao, and Jenny Wangwang.
According to Elenarose Tappa, the program coordinator of the Midwifery Department of ISAP-K, the Institution conducted both an institutional and intensive review program focusing on the areas of obstetrics both normal and pathologic, fundamentals of Midwifery, infant care and feeding, primary health care which focuses on community health and professional growth and development with bioethics of midwifery practice.
It also utilized practice exams to gauge knowledge and help the students become familiar with the exam format. Group study sessions for discussions and clarification of challenging topics, and close monitoring were also done during the review.
Tappa added that the students’ preparation for the exam required a focused and strategic approach, and the school has partnered with international and national lecturers to provide them with an intensive formal review class.
This is the first time that the ISAP-K earned a school passing rate of 100%. As per records, ISAP-K produced 39 professional midwives since its inception in 2014.
Data released by the Professional Regulation Commission shows that 3,997 out of 5,398 passed the 2024 Licensure Examination for Midwives. By Darwin S. Serion
