BAGUIO CITY – Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss disclosed that vaccinated and unvaccinated Filipino tourists can enter their country visa free as part of the global efforts to revive the heavily impacted economy due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic over the past two years.
Fluss, who was in the city for an official visit, stated that Filipinos, regardless of their vaccination status, are very much welcome to visit Israel without having to go through the difficulties of securing a visa because the Israeli government already embraced a policy of allowing foreigners to visit their country visa free.
However, he claimed that unvaccinated tourists must present to Israeli authorities their valid negative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results before being allowed to enter their country to ensure the health and safety not only their fellow tourists but also the people of the Holy Land.
He pointed out that Israel already opened its tourist spots and tourist-related activities to foreigners wanting to tour around the world to allow the gradual and safe revival of the heavily impacted tourism industry that caused the displacement of millions of workers around the world over the past 2 years that the pandemic had existed.
Ambassador Fluss extended the invitation of the Holy Land to Filipinos wanting to visit Israel for them to be witnesses to the home of global innovation.
The Israeli envoy will also help in promoting the tourist destinations in Baguio and Benguet to the Israelis as part of their contribution for the ongoing revival of the heavily impacted global economy due to the health crisis.
Among the most recommended things to do in Israel include Tel Aviv-Masada-Dead Sea full day tour with pickup; Tel Aviv-Masada, Ein Gedi and Dead Sea Guided Tour; Jerusalem-Bethlehem-Jerico and Qasr Al-Yahud; Amman-Petra, Rum, Aqaba and Dead Sea 3-Day Tour; Tel Aviv-Jerusalem and Bethlehem guided day trip; Jerusalem-Masda-Dead Sea full day tour pick up; Caecaria, Haifa and Akko Day Trip from Tel Aviv; Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum, Red Sea and Dead Sea 2-Day Camp; and Jerusalem, Masda national park and Dead Sea Extortion and Nazareth, Tiberias and Sea of Galilee Day Trip from Tel Aviv.
Israel is the first country to fully vaccinate its citizens against the dreaded COVID-19 and also the first nation to complete the booster shots for its senior citizens aside from working on the 4th dose of vaccine for the people.
Ambassador Fluss stipulated that it is worth visiting the different places of the Holy land, especially with the easing up of the restrictions on the movement of the people, so that the global economy can easily recover from the negative effects of the pandemic.
He expressed confidence on the bright prospects for the global economy to recover to regain the vibrance of the economies in the different parts of the world.
