LUNA, Apayao – RDC Chair and Apayao Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr, on Monday, urged the over 600 plus employees of provincial government to continue being part of progress, underlining the milestones of the PGA and how it surpassed obstacles over the years since its establishment.
“Ita makita yu ti panagbaliw, it is well planned according to the dream of our fore leaders, the question is anya met ti mai-contribute mo…it is about time that you do your part, and ibaga yu iti bagi yu parte ak iti progreso iti probinsya, ” Bulut expressed during the 29th Corporate Existence celebration on August 5 at the Apayao Eco-Tourism Sports Complex, in San Gregorio.
To be able to be part of a notable legacy, the governor challenged the workers to become well-informed of the provincial government’s programs such as the Project BUTSY, Taskforce LUSA, project ASENG, among others.
Moreover, the Governor did not let pass his talk on developments and transformation that happened in Apayao, especially so that the province is now internationally recognized as a recipient of the Biosphere Reserve inscription.
“You see the transformation for the past 29 years, haan tayo metten nga kababain, we do not only surpass regional level of recognition, but we are now internationally recognized,” underlined the governor.
Apayao is among the new 11 biosphere reserves declared by UNESCO this year and is the 4th Biosphere Reserve in the Philippines.
With the pace of progress, Bulut pointed to the need to add funds, saying “It’s about time to open the doors for possible investors to come in, quoting that agriculture in the long run will not be sufficient to sustain the operations of the province.”
The governor also mentioned the relevance of technology as drivers for sustainable development and inclusive growth for yApayaos, persuading the workforce to be up-to-date and technologically adept to be more effective and efficient. By Arjay Baysa
