ITOGON, Benguet – Mayor Bernard Waclin; Acting Municipal Treasurer Irene Fernando; Landbank Assistant Vice President Liza Melendez and Branch Manager Prescilla Quintos signed a memorandum of agreement recently, for the LGU’s use of LBP’s e-payment facility.
The online payment system is part of Mayor Waclin’s platform to ease government transactions for Itogon residents. The mayor reached out to Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) to extend their online payment system to the municipal government.
The Sangguniang Bayan of Itogon led by Vice Mayor Dax Godio also passed Resolution No. 13, S. 2023, authorizing Mayor Waclin to enter into MOA with LandBank.
The Link.Biz Portal of LBP can settle residents’ fees, dues, and charges to the municipal government with the use of their computer or smartphone through mobile/web banking.
LBP’s officers assured that they will provide technical assistance to municipal government’s personnel in setting up the online facility.
Acting Treasurer Fernando said that this will aid the municipal government and all Itogon taxpayers with their transactions. Taxpayers need not proceed to the municipal hall.
Aside from the online payment system, Mayor Waclin is also in agreement with Landbank on the establishment of automated machines in the municipality. By Itogon LGU
