LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Following the success of the Mobile Skills Training Project (MSTP) launched in September 2017, a mobile job fair project organized by the Provincial Government of Pangasinan dubbed “Job Fair on Wheels” is set to be launched on July 18 in Umingan.
To intensify the job placement assistance program through its Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO), a customized bus equipped with office furniture will move around various towns and cities of the province to conduct job fairs.
Provincial Employment Services Officer Alex F. Ferrer said that the project forms part in the mini job fairs regularly conducted by the PESO to assist fellow Pangasinenses from far-flung areas.
“This mobile job employment service is intended to bring the ‘Capitol’ closer to the people, thereby providing easier access to jobseekers living in far-flung areas,” Ferrer said.
Accordingly, apart from the customized bus which can accommodate five employers for the interviews, ten big tents will be installed around the bus to shelter other employers and applicants.
Five international agencies will join the array of providing job opportunities to locals of Umingan town, including: Androme Recruitment & Mgt. Services, Career Planners Specialists, EDI Staffbuilders, Placewell Services Corp. and RRJM International Manpower Services; while six local agencies will also take part in the said job fair, such as: 3Cs Industrial Staffing Solutions, Magnapeak Services Corp., SM Urdaneta, EEI Corporation, RDF Feed, Livestock & Foods, Inc., and Rayvill Electrical Const’n. Corp.
Just like the regular mini job fairs organized by the Pangasinan PESO, a One-Stop-Shop participated in by six national government agencies will assist clients in availing their respective services. These national agencies include: Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), PhilHealth, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Social Security System (SSS) Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
