BANGUED, Abra – A 30-year old man was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having in his possession suspected illegal drugs and assorted illegal drug paraphernalia during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence at Calaba, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested drug courier as Richard Uringan Batawag, 30, unemployed, a native of Cogon, Tineg, Abra and a resident of Calaba, Bangued, Abra.
Confiscated from him by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Rafael Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 2 in Bangued were one commando match box containing three small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; five used aluminum foil strips; 39 empty small transparent plastic sachets; and Drug paraphernalia.
The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bangued Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
