BONTOC, Mountain Province – A 31-year old jobless man was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having found in his possession alleged illegal drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia during a police checkpoint at sitio Latang, Tocucan, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Cornelio Comila, officer-in-charge of the Mountain Province Police Office, identified the arrested drug trader as Philip Joseph Sanchez Quipit, 31, single, unemployed, and a resident of Greenville, Merville Park, Paranaque City.
Confiscated from his possession by the operating troops were two bricks of marijuana hashis weighing 0.25 kilos; three balls marijuana hashis weighing 0.30 kgs wrapped with transparent plastic cellophane; and two bags coffee powder weighing 0.50 kgs.
The arrested suspected drug trader was brought to the Bontoc Municipal Police Station awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
