BAGUIO CITY – A 36-year old jobless man was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant for syndicated estafa in front of the Caloocan City Justice Hall Monday morning.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested wanted individual as Norbert Bayani Doria, 36, unemployed, and residing at No. 16-B Intan St., Bagong Bario, Caloocan City.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Emmanuel Cacho Rasing of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 3 with no bail recommended for his temporary liberty.
He was described to be one of the founders of a Ponzi investment firm that divested over p200 million complainants from Baguio and Benguet but the same could further increase if complainants from Cagayan and other parts of Northern Luzon will file their complaints.
The arrested individual was brought to the BCPO headquarters for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposition of the case filed against him.
