BAGUIO CITY – The 25-year old jobless man who was shot by still unidentified assailants in front of a restaurant along Palma-Urbano St. Wednesday night reportedly died Thursday night due to a lone gunshot wound on his abdomen.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Jessie Santos Gomez, 25, unemployed and a resident of # 143 MRR Queen of Peace, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and his friends came out from the restaurant and board his motorcycle when they heard a gunshot that emanated from inside the establishment.
After a few moments, the victim was seen holding on to his abdomen and rushing inside the restaurant and sought for help.
He was immediately rushed by his friend to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment where he was confined for a day before he expired due to a lone gunshot wound on his stomach.
