Bucay, Abra – A 39-year old jobless man was injured after he was stabbed by his cousin at the height of a heater altercation at Patoc here Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Orlando Galang Epirito, 39, married, unemployed, and a resident of barangay Patoc, Bucay, Abra while he named the suspect as his cousin, Michelle Espirito Curbi, 38, married, farmer, a resident of barangay Quimloong, Bucay, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect had a heated altercation because of the latter’s death when the suspect suddenly stabbed him several times on the different parts of his body.
He was immediately rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives but the weapon used was not recovered.
The case against the suspect is now being readied for filing before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
