La Trinidad, Benguet – The Justice Team got two wins last week while the La Trinidad Benguet International Baptist Church (LTBIBC) and the Assembly of God got their third win to catapult to second place in their respective brackets after games for the 5th Season of the Laity Cup last October 11 and 13 were completed at the San Jose Gym, here.
The Justice Team first downed the Legal Team, 93-79, last October 11 then routed the previously unbeaten Executive Mixers, 87-70, October 13 for their second and third win. That pushed them up to second place in the inter-office team standings, half a game ahead of Legal and also half game behind the Mixers.
On the other hand, LTBIBC derailed host San Jose, 75-66, and the Assembly of God defeated McDonalds Baguio-Benguet, 99-89, both last October 14 to improve to 3-1. They joined idle Immaculate Conception of Tabaa-o, Kapangan at second, just a game behind the Wesleyans and half a game behind the Latter Day Saints.
Games will continue this October 20, 2016, Thursday at the San Jose Gym, La Trinidad, Benguet.
