LUNA, Apayao – Former Senator Emmanuel “Manny’’ Pacquiao challenged the public servants in Apayao to be prepared for change, digital transformation and innovations which are deemed the driving force for developments across the province and the whole nation and to strengthen better public service.
Paquiao was the keynote speaker during the start of the month-long celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Commission Anniversary in Apayao, with his message delivered through a recorded video.
The legendary boxer, politician commended the dedicated men and women who have served the province and nation, highlighting their commitment to serving the public with integrity, courage, and dignity.
“Ang inyong katapatan, tibay ng loob, at dignidad ang naglakad ng dedikasyon para sa kasalukuyang at serbisyong pampubliko,” Pacquiao said.
He reiterated the importance of being prepared for transformative change and adapting to the evolving challenges in public service as this will ensure sustainable growth among communities, aligned with government’s goals. “Kailangan nating maging handa sa pagbabago,’’ he stated.
The former senator also expressed his solidarity with public servants, stating that he is their ally in every endeavor to serve the nation, saying “Kakampi ninyo si Manny Pacquiao sa bawat laban para sa bayan. “
Pacquiao concluded his message by encouraging the workers to nurture their hearts with compassion to be able to withstand diverse obstacles.
“Sama-sama nating palakasin ang isang uri ng serbisyong pampubliko kung saan namamayani ang malasakit, inobasyon, at responsibilidad, he told the public,” said the former senator.
The 124th Civil Service Anniversary celebration serves as a premier event for public servants to come together and reaffirm their commitment to serving the public, as well as to celebrate the contributions of public servants who have devoted their lives to serving the country. By Joyce Arian Soria
