BAGUIO CITY – Celebratory to the June 12, 2018 Independence Day, the “Kalayaan-Trail Run And Music Festival” is set to go on June 9, 2018 at the Scout Barrio Grounds, with gun start at 2:30 in the afternoon.
First of its kind, the activity will feature a 3KM Kiddie Run, 5KM Run, And A 10-mile Road/Trail Run after which a musical festival follows that will feature local and invited bands on stage featuring; Powerpuffcorn, Uptown, Music for Change, Namatsar, Laura, Caesar Salcedo, Banda ni Ankol, Pugaw Laya, The Cordillera Connection Band, Edralins, and Daluyonmantra x Makina. Also featured will be DJ’s Gab, Ziggy, and Joseph. Also featured will be a Food Festival for the promotion of local cuisine, and the promotion of local high quality business.
The Kalayaan run is organized by concerned citizens of Baguio City in cooperation with the City Government of Baguio, Project Seven, Hukbong Himpapawid ng Pilipinas, 21st AFGR, and Baguio General Hospital.
The project, proceeds of which is for the benefit of the Baguio General Hospital Dialysis Center, is co-sponsored by Porta Vaga Mall, Porta Vaga Deprtment Store, John Hay Management Corporation, Vincents Place, AXA, Mamang’s Native Lechon, Figaro, Atelier, BZA Homestyle, Beyond Fitness, Fitness Edge, San Miguel Beer, Eros Goze, Uncles and Unties of Baguio and SHP.
Registration for the trail run is open to the public at the Porta Vaga Mall, Ground Floor, and at the St. Vincent Gym office. Registration fees inclusive of shirt and race bib is at PHP 350 for the 3Km Kiddie run, PHP 550 for 5Km run and PHP 1,000 for the 10Mi Road and Trail Run. Race routes will be provided for at the registration venues.
