TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers and Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita programs received their incentive amounting to PhP3,500.00 on September 13.
The awarding of incentives for the beneficiaries from the city and the rest of the Kalinga municipalities took place at the at Kalinga Sports Center in Bulanao and was timed during the launching of the ‘Handog ng Pangulo, Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat’.
Undersecretary Rafaelita Aldaba of the Competitiveness and Innovation Group of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Director Lilian Salonga of DTI-Bureau of Competitive Development and Alfredo Adriano of the Presidential Management Staff graced the occasion.
In honor of PBBM’s 67th birthday today, the province was also granted allocations by the Office of the President and Representative Sandro Marcos in the form of PhP9M fund under the Department of Health-Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients Program, PhP11M fund for Training for Work Scholarship Program of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to provide immediate interventions to meet the need for highly critical skills, and 107 slots under the Commission on Higher Education-Tulong Dunong Program which aims to help eligible and qualified students pursue their college education.
During the event, the city government was also acknowledged as a recipient of the 2024 Lunsod Lunsad award, given for ‘Lunsod Lunsad ng Tabuk: Mangwa Creative Festival’, which champions innovation and creativity in the nation. The City of Tabuk received a certificate and PhP2M for this distinction plus PhP2.3M worth of projects for the city.
Aldaba and company visited the Naneng heritage village, the QRS Farms in Bantay, the KINWA Weaving Center in Bulanao, and the Kalinga Pasalubong Center in Malalao, Tabuk City, in support of the creative industry, following the ceremonial awarding of PhP4.3M worth of projects for the Lunsod Lunsad program for Tabuk City-Mangwa Creative Festival and Shared Service Facilities on Blacksmithing for Lubuagan.
In addition to demonstrating their support for this unique Marcos administration initiative, a number of provincial offices, SMEs, which participated in the ‘Kadiwa ng Pangulo’ displayed outside the venue, and national line agencies were also in attendance, including the DTI, Department of Health, TESDA, Department of Labor and Employment, Social Welfare and Development Office, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Information and Communications Technology, and the Kalinga office of the Philippine National Police.
