TABUK CITY, Kalinga- Mayor Darwin C. Estrañero confirmed that a 30-year old native of Barangay Gobgob tested positive for the dreaded Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), today.
The COVID patient is reportedly a construction worker in Caloocan City and arrived in the city with 25 other companions on board a chartered bus, last June 6, 2020.
Mayor Estrañero said that patience and his companions were not subjected to the rapid test from their point of origin in Manila and they do not allegedly have in their position the required medical certificates from their place of origin before travelling to Tabuk City.
He expressed disappointment over the incident that ruined the guinness of the community quarantine over the past 3 months because of alleged refusal of those in charge of the returning stranded individuals to the help protocols being implemented by the city government.
