TABUK CITY, Kalinga – As part of the 30th Founding Anniversary and 6th Bodong Festival, the provincial government of Kalinga, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Kalinga, officially launched the Kalinga Treasures Fair 2025.
Notable attendees at the opening ceremony were Kalinga Lone District Representative Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Kalinga Governor James Edduba, DTI-Cordillera Regional Director Atty. Raymond Panhon and DTI Provincial Director Renie Ramos, among other important guests.
Governor Edduba expressed his gratitude to all participants, emphasizing that the Treasures Fair enriches the foundation day celebrations and showcases the province’s strong sense of unity and support for Kalinga’s rich culture and traditions.
“The Treasures Fair is more than just a marketplace; it is a reflection of our heritage and a celebration of who we are as a people,” said Edduba. “With our province being blessed with abundant natural resources, this event serves as an opportunity to promote and take pride in our identity,” he further stated.
The governor also underscored the importance of supporting local entrepreneurs, noting that such efforts contribute to the growth of the local economy.
In terms of economic impact, Edduba highlighted the previous success of the Treasures Fair, which recorded sales of PhP16 million in 2023 and PhP21.3 million in 2024.
With the enthusiastic participation of buyers and exhibitors, he remains optimistic about surpassing these figures in 2025.
