The Department of Public Works and Highways – Cordillera Office (DPWH-CAR) and the Cordillera Regional DRMM Council Inter-Agency Task Group Kennon announces that Kennon Road will be open to private motorists who are driving five (5) tons and below on a northbound lane (going up to Baguio) only from 6:00AM Friday up to 6:00PM Monday, starting January 10 and every weekend thereafter until further notice.
Motorists are advised to observe speed limits and remain on the upward lane of the road, as vehicles of Kennon Road residents are using the downward lane.
Motorists are also advised to continuously monitor road advisory as closure of Kennon Road maybe implemented during inclement weather and/or sudden occurrence of localized thunderstorms where landslide is imminent in the area.
