LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 22-year old kitchen crew was hurt after a still unidentified male suspect poke a stone on her forehead while she was on her way home in front of a store at Tabangaoen, |Balili here Friday dawn.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Myrish Meg Mendoza Falogme, 22, single, Kitchen Crew at Hotel Manor, Camp John Hay, Baguio City, native of Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro, and a resident at FB 38, Tabangaoen, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was walking home alone when upon reaching the haging bridge leading to their place, she noticed a male person wearing a bonnet who was talking to someone on his mobile phone.
After a few moments, the suspect suddenly rushed to where she was, grabbed her and poked a stone on her forehead until she fell on the ground.
The victim fought back and poked her flashlight to the suspect until he was alarmed and fled towards a still undisclosed direction while she was able to seek assistance from concerned residents nearby.
She was immediately given medical attention at the Benguet General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) on the wounds she sustained from the said incident.
