LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 21-year old Korean national was wounded after she was bumped by a speeding red SUV on his right shoulder while she and her friends were walking inside the Benguet State University (BSU) Compound here around 5:35 pnm Monday.
Senior Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the wounded foreigner as Haerang Gil, 21, a Korean national and temporarily residing at the BSU Guestel, La Trinidad, Benguet
Initial police investigation showed the victim and her friends were walking inside the BSU Compound when she was bumped by a speeding red SUV without license plate number that immediately sped off towards a still undisclosed direction.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment but was later released after medical treatment of the soft tissue contusion that she sustained as a result of the accident.
Probers are still following up the identity of the owner of the SUV that bumped the victim for him to be charged appropriately before the local courts.
